Our monthly celebration of underground music art and culture returns July 31st @ Black Market Goods!

We've been away for a couple months in respect of the summer outdoor madness, but we are stoked to bringing our monthly event back!

Alway $5 cover. Always all ages. Always massive toons. Always massive art.

5pm to 12am

Black Market Goods is located at 112 Morningside NE.

We are doing it up big this month to celebrate the return of the event!

Arrive early to take part in the BASS-B-Q, which begins at 5pm on the patio! We'll be grilling up hotdogs, and burgers, free to you while supplies last.
We will have lots of food so come hungry! Sandia Snow will have a booth set up selling shaved ice at a reasonable price.

We will have burgers and hotdogs available. If you would like something else, please feel free to bring it and we'll grill it for you! Bring extra to share and make a new friend! All meats, and vegetarian fare is welcome. Sorry, no booze, cause you can't grill beer anyway...

THIS EVENT, BAR-B-Q INCLUDED, WILL GO ON RAIN OR SHINE.
In the event of rain, we will have a structure over the grill outside so we can keep cooking, and we will have an abbreviated music line up inside. Festivities will still begin at 5pm.

This month we've got 2 stages with the entire Sub Culture Crew on the line up, plus 2 guest headliners from other local crews!

This installation contrasts the origins of the moving image with it's current use in surveillance. Crank the handle on the antique style photo-flip show machine, while peering through the viewfinder to see a surprising modern interpretation. You are being watched.

Photos from past Sub Culture events will be projected throughout the gallery space. As images move from one wall to the next, you may catch yourself getting down at a past event. Step into the photobooth, and add new picture or video to the collection. Hit the button, pose, and find you new picture in the gallery in a few moments. You might even see yourself projected behind the DJ booth!

We strive to embrace the cutting edge in art and technology, so it only makes sense that sooner or later video games would find their way into a Sub Culture show. This isn't your average video game: you control it with your mind! Put on the headset and use your mental abilities to manipulate objects. Switch to the music visualization mode, and see a visual read out of the way the music is actually effecting patterns in your brainwaves.

No bad vibes, just good times with cool art, good people, and ill beats.
